Merge PDF files online

Combine two or more PDFs into one document in the upload order you choose. This is useful when the parts of a report arrive as separate files: keep the cover, main document and appendix together rather than asking a reader to open several attachments.

Your document’s journey starts here.

100 MB per file · up to 500 pages per job · one job at a time. Files are temporary, expire within 24 hours and are cleaned up automatically. Download results promptly; service restarts can remove them earlier.

    What Merge PDF does

Combine two or more PDFs into one document in the upload order you choose. This is useful when the parts of a report arrive as separate files: keep the cover, main document and appendix together rather than asking a reader to open several attachments.

    How to use this tool

    1. Choose between 2 and 20 PDFs.
    2. Reorder the file list before processing; check any page-selection settings.
    3. Process the files, download the combined PDF and review the page order.

    Common uses

    • Combine a cover, report and supporting appendices into one review packet in a deliberate order.
    • Collect several statements into one attachment so the recipient can inspect the complete sequence.
    • Join separately exported chapters after confirming that the final packet stays inside the combined page limit.
    • Assemble authorized evidence documents for review while keeping originals for any signature or form checks.

    Tips for better results

    • Arrange files as a reader will need them: cover, main report, then appendices. The upload-list controls set file order; they do not rearrange pages inside an input.
    • Check the first and last page of each component in the downloaded result. A boundary check catches an accidental duplicate or an appendix placed before its report.
    • For a cover with one page, a report with twelve and an appendix with three, expect sixteen pages when all inputs are included. This is a worked example, not an automatic content check.
    • Use Reorder or Organize first if the pages inside a component are wrong. Add Page Numbers afterward if the completed packet needs a new visible sequence.

Merging does not reconcile conflicting page numbers or preserve the validity of digital signatures. Review bookmarks, forms and accessibility after structural changes.

    Questions about Merge PDF

Can I choose the file order?

Yes. Use the file-list order controls before processing. The resulting document follows that order.

    Can I merge one file?

This tool expects at least two PDFs. Use Copy PDF to duplicate pages inside a single document.

Can I merge more than twenty input files?

One merge accepts between two and twenty PDFs. For a larger collection, combine batches only after checking the output and total page limit. Keep all original inputs.

Does merging change printed page numbers?

It combines pages; it does not reconcile existing numbers. A page-number overlay can add a new visible sequence, but does not erase numbers already printed.

Will forms, bookmarks and signatures stay valid?

Structural changes can affect these features. Test the merged document in the recipient’s reader and check any signature warnings before relying on the result.

How do I correct pages within one input?

Use Reorder PDF Pages or Organize PDF Pages to fix that component, then merge the reviewed copy. File order and internal page order are separate controls.
